Our Mountain Home
The funeral service for Mrs. Sarah A. Burgess, 78, who died Sunday morning, was 
held at the residence, 214 Broome Street, at 10 o'clock Monday morning, Dr. J. M.
Thomas, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment was at the 
Antioch cemetery with Usrey conducting. She is survived by two sons, Lucius and 
Julius, the latter of Bessemer. Mrs. Burgess had lived in Talladega for several 
years, having moved here with her family from Clay She was a member of a Baptist 
church in Clay County.
