Ashland Progress
Noah G. Caldwell, 84, of Rt. 2, Ashland, died Wednesday at the Clay County 
Hospital. Funeral services were today at 1 p.m. at the Blairs Funeral Home Chapel 
with the Rev. A O. Burdett officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Church 
of Christ Cemetery with Blairs Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Etta 
Caldwell; two Survivors include his wife, daughters, Mrs. Ben Phurrough and Mrs. 
Dewey Huddleston, both of Sylacauga; two sons, Herbert Caldwell of Ashland, and 
Charley Caldwell; a sister, Mrs. Elbert J. Bryant of Alexander City; and 13 
grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
