Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mr. William Emery Campbell, 87, were held at Campbell 
Springs Church of Christ on August 15th at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. Mancel 
Carpenter. Interment was in nearby cemetery, Blair Funeral Home was in charge. 
Pallbearers were A. F. Jenkins, C. T. Patterson, Lamar Brown, Robert Pittard, 
Homer Patterson, Charles R. Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a life-long citizen of 
Clay County and was always interested in the upbuilding of his county and 
community. The deceased passed away in Lineville Nursing Home at an early morning 
hour on Aug. 14th.

He was buried in Campbell Springs Cemetery Clay County, AL.
