E. Canady passed on to his reward. He had just reached his 80th birthday Dec. 19th. He had been in feeble health for some time, but his sudden death was a shock to his family and his many friends. He was a man possessed of many noble traits of character, some of which were honesty, energy and integrity. He is survived by the following named of kin, and was the father of 11 children, eight of whom are living. Two sons, Orvill and H. G. Six daughters, Mrs. Lula Childs, Jacksonville, Mrs. F.H. Dobbins, Elba, Mrs. M. W. Fargason, Mrs. A. N. Price, Miss Alice Canady of Cragford Rt. 1, and Mrs. George Freeman of Talladega. Mr. Canady's wife preceded him to the grave in 1928 and he was buried by her side in the McDaniel Chapel cemetery, Blair in charge. The pallbearers were, Hubert and Durel Fargason, Dewey Walker, Jesse Stanford, Lewis Bush and T. C. McMath.
