Ashland Progress
Mrs. Georgie Cann, wife of J. P. Cann, died at her home at Sycamore, Tuesday, 
after a protracted illness. Her remains were brought back to her old home, the 
Mt. Zion community, for burial, the funeral service being held at Mt. Zion 
Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Cann was past middle age and had been married twice. Three children survive 
her. The oldest, Bob Davis, a son by her deceased husband, is now a resident of 
Ashland. Another son, William Cann, resides in California and a daughter, Mrs.
Nash resides in West Virginia. Mrs. Cann lived near Ashland most of her life and 
has many friends and relatives here.
