Services for Mrs. Ressie G. Carden, 77, of Lineville, Rt. 3, will be Saturday at 
2 p.m. at Bellview Baptist Church with the Rev. Reuben Birchfield and the Rev. 
David DeLong officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield 
Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. Mrs. Carden died Thursday in Clay County 
Nursing Home after a long illness. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruby 
Bradford of Lineville; four sons, Clinton Carden of Birmingham, Robert Carden of 
Talladega, Alfred Carden and Winferd Carden, both of Lineville; 11 grandchildren 
and three greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry Carden, Mike Carden, 
Bobby Carden. Gary Bradford, Arnold Clark and Woodie McVey. Mrs. Carden was 
preceded in death by her husband, King Carden. She was a lifelong resident of 
Calhoun County and a housewife. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church. The 
body will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to services.
