Services for K. J. Carden, 83, of Lineville Rt. 3, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at 
Bellview Baptist Church with the Rev. Ruben Burchfield and the Rev. David DeLong 
officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside services will be in the church 
cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. Mr. Carden died 
Wednesday at Clay County Nursing Home after a long illness. Survivors include 
his wife, Mrs. Ressie Carden of Lineville; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Bradford of 
Lineville; four sons, Clinton Carden of Birmingham, Robert Carden of Talladega, 
Alfred Carden and Winford Carden, both of Lineville; 11 grandchildren and three 
great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry Carden, Mike Carden, Bobby 
Carden, Gary Bradford, Arnold Clark and Woodie McVey. Mr. Carden was a lifelong 
resident of Clay County and a retired farmer. He was a member of Bellview 
Baptist Church and the Lineville Lodge 219 F and AM. The body will remain at the 
funeral home until one hour prior to the services.
