Services for Charles Clinton Carden, 72, of Chelsea, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at 
the Bellview Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Dean and Thompson Pitts 
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will at the funeral 
home from 4 p.m. today until an hour before services. Mr. Carden died Saturday 
at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. 
Kathreen Carden; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Barbara S. Fisher of Franklin, Tenn.; a 
sister, Mrs. Ruby Bradford of Lineville; three brothers, Robert Carden of 
Talladega, Alfred Carden and Winfred Carden, both of Lineville; and two step-
grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry Carden, Mike Carden, Bobby Carden, Noel 
Carden, Joel Carden and Gary Bradford. Mr. Carden was a Clay County native, a 
former Birmingham resident and a citizen of Chelsea for the past eight years. He 
was a retired supervisor with the Borden Co., for which he had worked for 35 
years. He was a member of the Bellview Baptist Church.
