Zenus Windsor and the Rev. Don Cross officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The body will be at the funeral home until an hour before services. Mr. Cargile died Saturday at Clay County Hospital after a short illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Cargile of Lineville, Rt. 2; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Beckie Crouch of Prospect, Tenn., a stepson, Ralph Howell of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Ines Pool of Lineville, and four, Pallbearers will be Jack Whatley, J.W. Denson, Jack Graben, Cook Character, Blake Character, Bernard Spurlin, Jim Allen and Larry Upchurch. Mr. Cargile was a native of Clay County and a veteran of World War H. He was retired from the U.S. Army and the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Barfield Baptist Church. Additional Comments: Former Delta Route 2, Mail Carrier for many years.
