Ashland Progress
Final services for Mrs. Carrie Carpenter were held Thursday, July 22 3 o'clock 
p.m. at Concord Church with the Revs. Webb Brooks and Dee Hurst officiating. 
Blair directed. Interment was in church cemetery. Pallbearers were James 
McClellan, B. W. Pettus, Willie Owen, Mack Sprayberry, Grady Sims, Sam 
Sprayberry. The deceased had been in poor health for a long time. Her husband, H. 
O. Carpenter, preceded her in death many years. She is survived by a son, H. W. 
Carpenter of Highland, one sister, Mrs. Joe Dean, Alexander City, one brother, 
Otis Headrick, and other relatives.
