Services for Mrs. Carrie Worthy Carpenter, 93, of Ayers Access Road, Bynum, will 
be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary chapel with the Rev. Roy 
Carpenter and the Rev. Zackie Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Concord 
Cemetery in Clay County. Mrs. Carpenter died Sunday at Mary Brandon Nursing Home 
after a long illness. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hot tense Andrews of 
Bettendorf, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Smith of Huntington Park, Mrs. 
Inez Johnson of Anniston and Mrs. Ann Averill of Winter Haven, Fla. five 
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers 
will be T. Andrews, Ray Canant, Jimmy Carpenter, Ed Collins, Ken White and 
Phillip White. Mrs. Carpenter was a native of Clay County and had lived in 
Calhoun County most of her life. She was a member of Ruhama Baptist Church.
