Anniston Star
Services for Henry Wilmer Carpenter, 87, of Lineville were Saturday at Jackson 
Funeral Home with the Rev. A.A. Jacobs and Olin Warmack officiating. Burial was 
in Clay County Memory Gardens in Ashland. Mr. Carpenter died Thursday at 
Lineville Geriatric Center. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lena Carpenter of 
Lineville; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Knight of Sylacauga and; Mrs. Ruby Morgan 
of Indianapolis; two sons, Mansil Carpenter of Moreland, and Ernest Gay Carpenter 
of Port Arthur, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Carpenter 
was a Clay County native and resident, and a member of Concord Baptist church.
