Lineville Headlight
Mrs. Sallie Carpenter died at the home of her son, J. H. Carpenter, in the 
Macedonia community, three miles west town, last Friday and her remains were 
interred at the cemetery two miles northwest of town. At the time of her death, 
she was 94 years of age and had been a widow 57 years. To her and her husband 
were born nine children, three of whom survive her. In addition a large number of 
grandchildren, she is survived by 138 great grandchildren and 37 great-great 
grandchildren. She had been a consistent member of the Macedonia Primitive 
Baptist church for 68 years and was greatly beloved for her noble traits of 
character. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H.C. Harris the presence 
of a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives.
