Carr, 62, of Anniston, Rt 5, died Sunday at 12:30 p.m at Stringfellow Hospital after an illness Mr. Carr was a lifelong resident worker. Final services were held at p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church in Clay County, with the Revs. A. B. Jones, Earl Lipscomb and H. A. Clifton officiating. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery, Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Julie Carr; eight sons, C. D., Junior, Clellan, Travis, Garvis, Johnny and Donnie Carr, all of Anniston, and Earl Carr, of Atlanta, Texas; three daughters, Miss Betty Ruth Carr, of Anniston, Rt 5; Mrs. Mattie Lue, of Atlanta, Texas, and Mrs. Helen Clifton, of Anniston, Rt. 5; one brother, George Carr, of Anniston, Rt 1, one sister Mrs. Gracie Varnes, of Oxford, and five grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Cecil Smith, Stevie Peterson, Billy Jones, Albert McCormick, J, W. Jones, Leonard McCormick and Buddy Lowry.
