Funeral services for John Thomas Grover Carter, 74, were held Wednesday afternoon 
at the Cragford Baptist Church. Mr. Carter died at Clay County Hospital. The 
services were conducted by the Revs. 0. C. Nichols, James Duke and Elder Beamon 
Denney. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. J.T.S. Carter; two sons, J. B. Carter 
of Cragford, J.H. Carter of Birmingham, three daughters. Mrs. H. D. White of 
Orlando. Fla., Mrs. P. E. Stephens of Atlanta. Ga., and Mrs. J. H. Woolen of 
Alexandria; two sisters. Mrs. W. S. Freeman  Cragford, Mrs. Berlha Childs of 
County Hospital. South Bend. Ind.; 19 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren. The 
services were conducted by the Revs. 0. C. Nichols, James Duke and Elder Beamon 
Denney.
