Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mary Ann Carter, wife of J. F. Carter, died at her home in Cragford, Dec. 
3rd. Mrs. Carter had reached the ripe old age of 86 years. She is survived by her 
husband, 3 daughters, 1 son, 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The 
pallbearers were J. B. Carter, Junior Carter, Fred Carter, Hugh Childs, Carter 
Mitchell and M. C. Lamberth. Burial was in Cragford cemetery. Biair in charge.
