Funeral services for James Munroe Cheatwood, 89, of 730 McPherson Street, Oxford, 
were held yesterday at 3 o'clock at Bethel with the Rev. Irvin Strickland 
officiating. Mr. Cheatwood died Friday at his residence. He is survived by one 
son, Lonnie Cheatwood; one sister, Mrs. W. A. Hill of Decatur; 13 grandchildren, 
and nine great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Pelham Carter, Will Pierce, 
Frank Ingram, John Gann, Robert Prichard and Joe Hill.
