Mrs. Vernie L. Clarke, 80, of Lineville, died at Southeast Nursing Home. Funeral 
services were scheduled today at 2 p.m. at Blair Brown-Funeral Home, with Burial 
in Mt: Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include, her husband, three 
daughters, Mrs. Eunice Tillson of Jacksonville, Mrs. Evelyn Lucas of Huntsville, 
and Mrs. Evada Chapman of Lineville; three sons, Ernest Clarke of
Delta, Emory Clark of Oxford, and Eulus Clarke of Heflin; three sisters, Mrs. 
Amzie Cantrell and Mrs. Alma Knight, both of and Mrs. Nellie Parson of Lanett; a 
brother, Floyd Lester of Carrollton, 17 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren and 
two great-great-grandchildren.
