A. Clayton Lanett, was laid to rest in her native county of Clay in Alabama Sunday. Funeral services were held at Shiloh and conducted by Elder M. Shaddix, Elder Goodman, and the Rev. Mr. Duffev. Interment was in the churchyard, Johnson and Blakely in charge. Mrs. Clayton was born in 1869 and has been a resident of Lanett since 1944. She was an invalid for the past five years and was seriously ill only one week. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vitula Foster and Miss Annie Clayton of Lanett, and Mrs. J. C. Mitchell of West Point; also four brothers and four sisters, Mrs. A. D. Hall of Lanett being one of the latter. She also leaves four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
