Anniston Star
Sarah Elizabeth Cobb of Anniston died Wednesday at 5:40 pm at Stringfellow 
hospital after a short illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m., 
at Bethel Baptist Church in Clay County with the Rev. Waller S. Dobbs and Gary 
Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery with Gray Brown-Service 
Mortuary in charge. She is survived by one son, C. T. Cobb, and one daughter, 
Mrs. Ervin Strickland, both of Anniston, 11 grandchildren and 19 great 
grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jep S. Mitchell, Bobby Bryant, Patrick 
Donahue, Earl Kemp, Jerry Bryant and Wayne Donahue. Mrs. Cobb was a former 
resident of Clay County and had lived in Anniston the past 24 years. She was a 
member of Bethel Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church an 
hour before services.
