J. Cockrell died at his home in the Shiloh community last Saturday and wa3 buried Sunday. Mr. Cockrell was one of the county's oldest and most highly esteemed citizens. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son. Funeral services were held at Shiloh Baptist church Sunday, conducted by Rev. Tapley. Members of the Masonic fraternity were in charge. After the service the remains were laid to rest in the Shiloh cemetery, Blair directing.
