Ashland Progress
Mr. D. H. Coleman, age 69, died suddenly at his home on Lineville Rt. 1, Monday, 
June 11th. The funeral was held at Shiloh Baptist Church Tuesday, June 12th, with 
the Rev. Grady Birchfield officiating, assisted by Rev. Reuben Birchfield. Burial 
was in the church cemetery, Blair in charge. Survivors include three daughters, 
Mrs. Ruby Brock, Chattanooga, Mrs. Pauline Smith, Chattanooga and Mrs. Lois 
Macoy, Twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary 
Lambert, Mrs. John Powell, Henegar; two brothers, Mr. Ethridge Coleman, Atlanta, 
and Charley C. Coleman, Lineville. Pallbearers were Clarence Sparks, O. J. Macoy, 
W.C. Macoy, Garland Denney, Everette Short, and Barney Latham.
