Lineville Headlight
On Sunday, the 7th instant Mr. Jeff Compton died at his home 3 1-2 miles north of 
town. Mr. Compton was about 49 years old, unmarried. He and his sisters had been 
living at the old Compton homestead since the death of the parents. 

Additional Comments:
Born ca 1861 Possibly son of John Compton & Jane Johnson. 
He was buried in the Compton Family Cemetery.
