Lineville Headlight
Mr. S. M. Compton. a prominent and respected citizen of the Bellview community, 
died Tuesday evening after an illness extending over several years. The funeral 
services were conducted by Rev. W. W. Crymes at the home of the deceased, four 
miles North of Lineville, in the presence of the family and friends. The remains 
were laid to rest in the family burying ground near the home. He is survived by 
his widow and four children, J. T. Compton, Mrs. V. S. Bell, Mrs. W.L. Bell, and 
Mrs. Pearl Mitchell.
