W. Cook died suddenly Tuesday afternoon while visit ng a nearby neighbor. He was at the home of A.- Dunaway and was telling him how to brace a barn when the end came so suddenly. Mr. Cook was a native Clay Countain, a good farmer and citizen and farmer. He was 62 years of age in May. The deceased was of the old school and did not take on to modern styles and frills. He was always outspoken in his views and his advice was sound and respected. Uncle Lon! as he was called by his close friends. He had been married twice, having married Fronie Dial the first time and Amelia Ann Owens who survives him. To the first Union bight children were born, seven of whom survive. The children are W. 0. Cook, Mrs. J. W. Thomas, Pisgah, Mrs. H. C. Willingham, of Anniston, Mrs. Geo. W. Garrett, Arthur Cook, Mrs. John W. Character, Mrs. Jess McKay. Burial took place at Blacks Chapel Campground, where he was a member, Wednesday afternoon.
