Cook, one of Clay county's oldest citizens, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B. M. Young, in the Mellow Valley community, on March 6th and was buried the following day at McDaniel's Chapel, Blair directing. Six of his grandsons served as pallbearers. The funeral rites were conducted by Rev. Guy Wallace of Lineville, assisted by Rev. T.J. Preston. Mr. Cook was 91 years of age and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. B.M. Young of Cragford Route 1 and Mrs. R. F. Sparks of Lanett, and 10 grandchildren.
