Alexander City Outlook
Richard Ollie Cotney, 73, died at his home. Route 3, Alexander City, on October 
4. Funeral services were held at Bethel Church, on Thursday. October 6, with 
Reverend Colvin Easterwood and Reverend Grady Birchfield officiating. Interment 
was held in the adjacent cemetery. Surviving Mr. Cotney are his widow, four 
daughters, Mrs. Jessie Strickland, of Alexander City; Mrs. Myrt Mask, Cragford, 
Mrs. Pinkie Mae Chandler, of Carrollton, Ga., and Mrs. Elsie Campbell, of 
Cragford, one son, Kermit Cotney, of Cragford, Ala. Other survivors include two 
stepdaughters, Mrs. Lucille McGraw, of Gadsden, and Mrs. Lorraine Hayes, of 
Milwaukee, Wis., two brothers, one sister. 37 grandchildren and 23 great 
grandchildren.
