Ashland Progress
Mrs. Martha Crawford, age 82 years the 4th of last March, died at the home of 
her son, J. Morgan Crawford, in the Bluff Springs community Friday night, at 11 
o'clock and her remains were interred in Mt. Ararat burying ground Sunday 
morning following funeral services conducted by Rev. W. L. Spearman. Mrs. 
Crawford is survived by three sons. B. H., J. M. and W. H. Crawford, and one 
daughter, Mrs. Nannie Triplett. One son and two daughters preceded her to the 
grave. Her husband died about 28 years ago. She was born in South Carolina but 
had been residing in the Bluff Springs community 38 years. She leaves behind one 
brother and one sister. The bereaved family wish to thank all their neighbors 
and friends for kindness shown her during her few days illness and for all the 
tokens and deeds of kindness and sympathy.
