Ashland Progress
News was received here Wednesday of the death of Howard C. Cruise in an Anniston 
hospital. Pneumonia was the cause of his death. Mr. Cruise was 49 years of age 
and is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Cruise of Ashland also five 
brothers, J. G. of Anniston, C. N. of Greenville, S. E. of Roanoke, E. C. and L. 
E. of Ashland, and four sisters, Mrs. J. L. Hampton of Anniston, Mrs. J. D. 
Carpenter of Ashland, Mrs. William Fitzgerald of Los Angeles, and Mrs. E. T. 
McKay of Roanoke. Funeral services are planned for 2:30 this afternoon at 
Macedonia.
