Services for Henry W. "Scott" Daugherty. 79, of Delta, Rt. 1, were Saturday at 
Good Hope Delta Baptist Church with the Rev. David Porter and the Rev. Valter 
Taylor officiating. Military graveside services were in the adjoining cemetery 
with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Daugherty died Thursday at Mary 
Brandon Nursing Home in Oxford. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wilma S. 
Daugherty of Delta; a daughter, Mrs. Anita Cotney of Delta; four sons, Troy 
Mattox of Ashland and Rayford Daugherty, Jeff Daugherty and Terry Daugherty, all 
of Delta; four sisters, Mrs. Ila Mae Spears and Mrs. Moree Summerlin, both of 
Delta, Mrs. Erzula Spears of Anniston and Mr.; Addle Woods of Lineville; four-
brothers, Jake R. Daugherty, Clemon Daugherty and Melvin Daugherty, all of 
Lineville; and James A. Daugherty of Lanett; and three grandchildren. 
Pallbearers were Johnny Summerlin, Ronald Daugherty, Dwight Daugherty, Pete 
Spears, L.V. Summerlin and Wayne Johnson.
