Alexander City Outlook
William Anderson Daugherty, 75, of Bessemer, father of Mrs. H. G. Birchfield, 
Alexander City, died Friday, June 5th in Bessemer. Funeral services were held at 
2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel with burial in an adjoining cemetery, Radney Funeral 
Home directing. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. H. H. Bradberry, 
Kinston, Mrs. W. R. Carr, Bessemer, Mrs. Lee Kilbourn, Opelika; two sons, Thomas 
Daugherty, Kershaw, S.C., and A. M. Daugherty, Bessemer; three brothers. Lon 
Daugherty, Alexander City; Ode Daugherty, Alexander City, J. D. Daugherty, 
Cragford; three sisters, Mrs. Caldonia Wallace, Alexander City, Mrs. Elizabeth 
Summerlin, Cragford, Mrs. Lorene Cheaney, Cragford; eight grandchildren; four 
great-grandchildren and host of other relatives.
