E. Dawkins died at her home in the north-western part of town, after a lingering illness, on last Friday, September 15th, and her remains were interred at Wesobulga on Saturday afternoon, Sept 16th. The deceased was 33 years of age at the time of her death and was a consistent member of the Baptist church. She and her husband had only a few months ago returned to this county from Texas. Only a few days before her death she sent her church letter to the pastor of the Lineville Baptist church, and she was received into membership of the church. Before her marriage to Mr. Dawkins the deceased was Miss Jane Cotney and was a good woman and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She is survived by a husband and four small children who have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
