Mrs. Hattie S. Day, 85, of Ashland, died Tuesday in the Clay County Hospital 
following short Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the First United 
Methodist Church of Ashland with the Rev. G. L. Armstrong of Lineville 
officiating. Burial was in Ashland City Cemetery with Blair Brown Service funeral 
home directing. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frances Wheat of Wetumpka. 
Pallbearers are Hugo Jenkins, Kirby Royster Ernest Knight, Edgar L. Wynn, Donald 
Sparks, and Joe Gibson. Mrs. Day was a lifelong resident of Ashland, and a member 
of the First United Methodist Church. The body will remain at the funeral home 
until one hour prior to funeral services.
