The funeral services were conducted by Revs. A. A. Hutto and F. J. Ingram. Hon. W. M. Lackey also spoke. The deceased was 85 years of age, was a member of the Baptist church and a Confederate soldier. He took a deep interest in the work of his church and the U.C.V. reunions. He led an active life and will be greatly missed by his friends in Clay county.
