Uncle Lewis Dean Dies -- Uncle Lewis DEan, as he was familiarly called, died at 
Ashland at 3:40 o'clock Monday morning and his remains were laid to rest in the 
Ashland cemetery Tuesday afternoon.  The funeral services were conducted by 
Revs. A. A. Hutto and F. J. Ingram.  Hon. W. M. Lackey also spoke.  The 
deceased was 85 years of age, was a member of the Baptist church and a 
Confederate soldier.  He took a deep interest in the work of his church and the 
U.C.V. reunions.  He led an active life and will be greatly missed by his 
friends in Clay county.
