Mrs. J. B. Dean Passes Unexpectedly -- The passing of Mrs. J. B. Dean, 75, on 
July 13th, came as a shock to her family and friends while she and other 
members of the family were watching a television program.

The deceased lived in this city for many years, moving near Alexander City a 
few years ago and recently to New Site.  

Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church here on July 15th, 
conducted by the Rev. Grammer and Judge W. B. Nolen.  Radney Funeral Home of 
Alexander City directed.  Interment was in City Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Otha Dean, Alexander City; two 
daughters, Mrs. Bessie Dean Jones, New Site, Mrs. Lacey Mary Hollingsworth, 
Childersburg and several grandchildren.
