Funeral services for Jimmy Clay Deese, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Deese of 
Delta. Rt. 1. will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Union Church 
in Clay County. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. The youth died Friday in Annis 
ton Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Survivors are his 
parents; three sisters, Mrs. Glenn Tyree of Oxford. Rt. 3. Mrs. E. Milam and Miss 
Sybil Deese; eight brothers. Alec, Frank, William, John, Jerry, Robert, Roy, all 
of Delta Rt. 1. and D. A. Deese Jr, serving overseas with the Army; a half-
brother, Virgil Gann, and two grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. W J. Shaddix Detta, Rt 
1.
