She joined the Baptist church at Pleasant Hill near Heflin when 16 years old and lived a beautiful life since. She was always pleasant wherever you saw her, and her life was all in making her husband and children happy. Her whole desire was to bring her children up to follow Jesus. There were 11 children born to their union, 6 boys and 5 girls Three boys and one girl died while small. Five of the children are married: Mrs. Evie Walk of Washington D. C. Mrs. Annie Croley and Mrs. Kancie Mitchell of Delta, Roy Denman of Heflin and Jay Denman of Anniston. One son and daughter at home John and Henley. All the children were by the bedside when the end came, except Mrs. Walk, she arrived two hours later. Mrs. Denman strived to live till her oldest daughter could get home, she wanted to see her once more, but she could not hold out. She was conscious till the very last. She was laid to rest in Delta cemetery, funeral services being con ducted by the writer, Rev. S.J. Ingram. Sister Denman was a good neighbor, mother and wife. Her faith in Christ and her life for responding there to is the evidence left us of her future welfare. Her face in the home and community will be missed by. all who knew her, but more especially her immediate family. May He who comforts in time of need give every grace and grace qualification that the bereaved need in the sore affliction.
