Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. W. W. (Naney Johnson) Denman, 85, at 
the Union Baptist Church Thursday at 10 o'clock., The Rev. S.E. Maples and the 
Rev. Roy Carpenter officiated. Interment was in the Union Cemetery and Blair 
Funeral Home was in charge.  Mrs. Denman died at the home of her stepdaughter, 
Mrs. Lewis Mitchell, Wednesday morning following a long illness. Mrs. Denman had 
lived in Clay County all her life. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Her 
husband died in. 1940.  She is survived by, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lewis 
Mitchell, Miss Henley Denman, Rt. 2, Delta, Mrs. Evie Walk, Washington, D. C., 
three stepsons John Denman and Jay Denman, Anniston; and Roy Denman, of 
Chulafinnee. Pallbearers were C. J. Mitchell, Alvis Mitchell, Bobby Haynes, Bu-
ford Haynes, Carvel Haynes and E. S. Johnson.
