A. A. Jacobs and the Rev. Richard East officiating. Burial with full military honors was to be in Providence primitive Baptist Church with Blair-Brock Funeral home in charge. Mr. Denney died Sunday in a hospital following a long illness, Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Denney of Lineville a daughter Mrs. John H. Young of Alanta. Ga.; three sons, Fred M. Denney of Oxford, Walter Thomas Denney of Jacksonville and W. Kenneth Denney of Atlanta, a sister, Mrs. Mildred Kinney of Ashland, four brothers, W. Beamon Denney of Ashland, Claxton Denney, Arland Denney and Garland Denney, all of Lineville; and 11 grandchildren; Pallbearers were to be Clayton Standord, Glover Whaley, Norwood Denney, Douglas Gordney, Walter Doxson Denney, Robert Denney and Ronnie Denney. Mr. Denney was a native and a lifelong resident of Clay County. He was a machinist and a member of Providence Primitive Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
