Ashland Progress
Many friends and relatives were grieved Monday when they learned of the death of 
Mrs. Fred Denny, age 16, who passed away unexpectedly at her home in the 
Providence community, about seven miles south of Ashland, following a brief 
illness. The deceased is survived by the husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. 
Royster; two sisters, Evert and Annie May; two brothers, Clarence and Thurman; 
her grandparents, Mr. end Mrs. J. L. Wheeles and H. Royster. Funeral services 
were held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at Providence, conducted by Elder H.H. 
Goodman, assisted by Rev. F. J. Ingram, interment was in the Providence cemetery 
with Blair directing.
