Whereas on the first day of June 1897 the Angel of death entered the precincts 
of our Brotherhood and removed Brother Wesley F. DeVaughan from our midst. 
Whereas there are no further designs for him on the Trestie Broad. Be it 
resolved That we humbly bow to the will of Hin who death all things well. That 
we do extend his heart-stricken family our deep sincere and affectionate 
sympathy in this their sad bereavements. That we mourn the loss of our departed 
Brother and cherish his memory in our hearts. That this resolution be spread 
upon the minutes of this Lodge a copy thereof be sent to the family of the 
deceased Brothel and also be published in the county papers, the Clay County Ad 
vane and Peoples Party Advocate. Respectfully submitted. S. Y. Lamberth, W. D.
