Ashland Progress
Mrs. Arrie Devore, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, in the hospital at 
Sylacauga. She lived with her son, Charlie Devore in Childersburg. Funeral 
services were conducted Thursday afternoon, April 1, at Shiloh church by Rev. 
S.C. Ray assisted by Rev. R. E. Birchfield. She is survived by one son, Charlie 
Devore and six grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, W. L. and L. 
W. Runyan, of Ashland, Pallbearers were her nephews, John Thomas Runyan, J. B. 
Runyan, L. R. Runyan, Theron Runyan, S.C. Stanford and W. F. Donahoo. Interment 
was in Shiloh cemetery with Blair directing.
