Rufus Jackson (Jack). Dick 83 of Rt. 2. Ashland, died in a Clay County nursing 
home Tuesday. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday from Bethel Church with the 
Rev Gordon Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Blair 
funeral Home of Ashland directing. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Martin 
L. Wheeles, Mrs. Douglas Horn, Mrs. Bunyan Toland, and Mrs. Willie B. Riddle, 
all of Ashland; five sons, Ezra L., Herbert, and Lon Dick, all of Ashland, Jack 
H. Dick, Lineville, and Grover C. Dick, Montgomery (State Health Department); a 
sister, Mrs. Maggie Carwile Ashland; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Steve Riddle, Don Toland, 
Lanoice and Donny Hugh Wheeles, Richard, Robert, Michael and Jack Dick. The body 
will he in state at the church one hour prior to service time.
