Alexander Driggers was born September the 18th 1853 in Lafayette County Georgia, 
moved to Alabama in childhood, was married to Safronia Sims Dec the 29th 1892; 
he was initiated into the Knights of Pythias in March 1910; and departed this 
life Dec 31, 1910, aged 57 years 3 months and 13 day. Brother Driggers had lived 
near Delta in Clay Co since childhood and was loved and respected by all who 
knew him. He possessed many good traits of character and in his death the 
Knights of Pythias lost a faithful member, the community a good citizen and 
neighbor. He leaves a wife one brother and several sisters and relatives to 
mourn his death. While it is sad to part with loved ones here, we would bow in 
humble submission to him who doeth all well, feeling that our loss. is his great 
gain. And we, would ask God to bless the grief-stricken wife through all the 
years and finally permit us all to be with him a united brotherhood to share the
