Jerry Bolt officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Miller Funeral Home of Oxford in charge. Mr. Duke died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Duke of Anniston; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Tidwell of Anniston and Mrs. Glenda Haynie of Alexandria; three sons, the Rev. David Duke of Anniston, Jimmy Duke of Ohatchee and Charles Duke of Alexandria; six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hogan of Anniston, Mrs. Nellie Duke and Mrs. Vera Mae Paris, both of Cullman, Mrs. Rosa Malone and Mrs. Lorea Smith, both of Arab and Mrs. Vera Sellers of Ohio; five brothers, Johnny Duke and James Duke, both of Arab, Rubin Duke of Wedowee, Marvin Duke of Ashland and Vernon Duke of Bartow, and 14 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jack Paris, Thomas Paris, Johnny Ray Paris, Danny Malone, Joey Smith and Roger Williamson. Mr. Duke was a native of Clay County and had been a resident of Calhoun County for seven years. The body will remain at his residence until one hour prior to services.
