The Sylacauga Advance
John M. East, 66 years of age, expired July 25 at the Sylacauga Hospital. 
Services were held p.m. July 26 at Concord Church near Ashland with burial in the 
church cemetery, Mr. East is survived by his wife, Mrs. Birdie M. East, and 9 
children: James Eastaboga; John C. Chatanooga, Woodle Munford; Bennie and Hubert 
H. of Chicago; Mrs. Lela Mae Martin. Eastaboga; Mrs. Louise Pool, Atlanta; Mrs. 
Lucille Edwards, Ashland; Mrs. Sarah N. Hill, Pell City; also, 26 grandchildren. 
1 sister, 4 brothers, 5 half-brothers and 2 half-sisters.
