J. Edmiston, who lived with her granddaughter; Mrs. J. W. Mitchell, succumbed to heart failure. She had not been in best of health but was unusually better Sunday morning, a part of the family had gone to church. Her husband was killed in the civil war and her two children had proceeded her several years ago. She has been a member of the Methodist Church from early childhood and was 83 years of age. A large concourse of relatives and friends were at Olive Branch Monday to witness the last sad rites of this good grandmother who had lived with them so long. Rev. Driskill and S. J.
