Elliott, 54, who died Saturday in Clay County Hospital after a short illness, were held at Olive Branch Baptist Church, the Rev. B. Bruce Finley, the Rev. A. O. Burdette, and the Rev. K.V. McDonald official Burial was in the Olive Branch cemetery, Blair directing. Mr. Elliott one of Clay County's most progressive farmers and a member of one the pioneer families of this section. He was the son of Mrs. Ola Elliott and the late M. C. "Bud" Elliott, who lived in the Olive Branch community for more than 70 years. Survivors, besides his mother, include his wife, Mrs. Maude King Elliott; two sons Clyde Elliott, Childersburg; Bruce Elliott Ashland; two daughters, Mrs. Bill Todd and Miss Carolyn Elliott Ashland; four brothers Marvin Elliott Purvis, Pierce Elliott West Point, Lowell Elliott.
