Ashland Progress
Mr. Gregg Spratt Elliott passed away on Monday, Nov. 19th, following a long 
period of declining health He would have been seventy years old had he lived 
until Nov. 21st. He was a farmer and had spent most of his life in the Olive 
Branch community. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Elliott, two sons, D. L. 
and Grady Elliott of Ashland. Two brothers, E. P. and J. G. of Ashland, two 
sisters, Mrs. Kate Gillam and Mrs. Mollie Beck of Ashland and six grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at the Olive Branch Baptist church at eleven o'clock 
Tuesday, Nov. 20th, conducted by Dr. C. B. Martin and Elder H. H. Goodman. 
Interment was in the Olive Branch cemetery, directed by White Funeral Home. 
Pallbearers were Stell Young, Bertrom Robertson, Albert Hunt, Otis Elliott, 
LaFayette Elliott and Morris Willis.
