Ashland Progress
Mrs. Ella C. Y. Jones nee Falk was born at Newberry Sonth Carolina on the 12th 
day of August A.D. 1846, she was married to Rev. James White on the 22nd day 
September 1864 in Talladega Co Ala. who died on the 7th day of August 1877 at 
Ashland Ala. She was again married to W. W. Jones on the 15 day of January 1880 
at her home, Ashland Clay Co. Ala., She peacefully fell on asleep at her home on 
the 16th day of August 1894. She was happily converted and embraced the 
Christian religion the year of grace 1860 or 1861 at Mt. Moriah Church under the 
ministry of J. E. McCain who preached the funeral sermon over her remains in the 
Methodist church at Ashland Ala., to weeping loved ones and a large congregation 
of sorrowing friends. She lived the life of the righteous and her end was peace. 
May every one of her children loved ones and friends meet her by and by in the
